The Basileía of the Romans has today officially launched its brand new website. As reported in March, Rhomania had been in development of a new website, following multiple, and unfortunately successful, cyberattacks against digital infrastructure of the State over the course of two years.
The new site, currently in Beta version, is now live at www.rhomania.cc. According to the Throne, the project was not a matter of appearance but of sovereignty: previous government and news pages had depended on third-party hosts, and those arrangements proved vulnerable. A third party is stated to have attempted to gain access to and damage official sites. The answer chosen by the State was to purchase a domain of its own and to self-host the public face of the Basileia.
That work was carried out quietly. An Imperial Communiqué issued on 1 September 2026, the Roman New Year, recorded that reduced online activity since 2022–2023 was a deliberate isolationist policy, not neglect. The same text named the new website as one concrete result of that period: archives, the gazette, and official communication would no longer rest on “the courtesy of strangers.”
The new website will host the Imperial Gazette, recording public announcements, legislation, decrees and other official business. Visitors will also have access to the Fundamental Laws, general information about the state, and a Citizens-only section dubbed myRhōmanía for all matters relevant to the Subjects of the Throne.
Visitors to the new site are invited to treat it as the authoritative public channel of the State, and excercise patience as sections of the website are still under construction. As always, The Imperial Tribune remains the premier news reporting outlet of the State.
