Mouzeliot transition to direct Democracy

As expected, by Mouzeliot citizens and politicians, Mouzilo abolished monarchy and replaced it with Athenian Democracy, the first and purest form of democracy in human history, the basis of our modern "democratic" states. This, as evidenced and expected, is the largest of a series of measures for the reorganization of the state, which was necessary for the development of Mouzilo into a more serious and professional micronation, as well as the advancement of the Mouzeliot economy and living standards, that are already high.

This reform means that the parliament, as well as the political parties, cease to exist*, in order to give the power to decide about major and frequently minor problems of our state,  to the Mouzeliot citizens, who will be allowed to vote under certain criteria (modelled after Athenian Democracy ones). As scheduled, the people will be meeting twice a month in Ecclesia (obviously modelled after the ancient Athenian Ecclesia) or Kältór, in Kekropian, after Sunday's church service. Also, in cases of great emergency, Ecclesia/Kältór meetings will be held in order to solve the problems that will possibly arise at that time.

In addition, all titles of monarchy (such as Emperor, Queen, Prince) cease to exist and all members of the Imperial Family lose their power, except the Emperor, Manu II (or, from now on, Emmanuel Tsompanoglou), who becomes Mouzilo's first President. [Note: a new President will be selected every 5 years by the people] The Mouzeliot Prime Minister, Demetrios Tsailas, remains in office till the next elections programmed for May 2014. Also Mouzilo, obviously, becomes a Republic or, officially, it will be known as the "Democratic Republic of Mouzilo". [Note: for Grammar and vocabulary reasons, the official name in Greek and Kekropian will mean "Popular Republic of Mouzilo", when in translation]

The President, as well as politicians, are expected to comment on this really soon and more decisions will be soon made. The "Tribune" will keep you up-to-date.

*Technically, the Parliament will still exist in its new form of Ecclesia. Also, the parties will be allowed to exist as clubs, however they will not be allowed to compete in elections.
