This past Wednesday, Rhōmanía announced the establishment of a caretaker government in the neighboring nation of Zenia. The reasoning was simple: Zenia had fallen into inactivity and the core philosophy behind the nation’s existence had not been put into practice. Basileus and Autokrator of the Romans Emmanuel I&II made this decision after much contemplation and for the prosperity of Zenia, of which he is one of the Consuls and member of the Stoa, Zenia's government.
Immediately, a smearing campaign was launched against the caretaker government that has been established in Zenia. Despite its noble intentions, the National government has come under attack from unknown extremists who have resorted to spreading fake news and malicious rumors. They claim that the government is a tool of Rhomania, and that it serves only to further our own interests.
These claims are baseless, absurd and without merit. The caretaker government was established with the full acknowledgement that Zenia is an independent state. It is a temporary arrangement, designed to provide a stable environment for the country as it moves towards the full implementation of its Founding Law.
Furthermore, the accusations that the caretaker government is serving the interests of Rhōmanía are simply false. The government is composed of highly-qualified and impartial individuals who are dedicated to serving the people of Zenia. They have no hidden agenda or ulterior motives, and they are working tirelessly to restore stability and security in the country.
Our allies have already rejected this laughable attempt at propaganda. All efforts to discredit Rhōmanía's initiative have fallen flat on their face, and our allies acknowledge that, declaring their vocal support for this project. All that while whoever stands behind this misinformation attempt hides in anonymity, without presenting any shred of evidence for being involved with the Zenia of old in any way, shape, or form.
In conclusion, I believe that the smearing campaign against the Government of National Salvation in Zenia is misguided and will not succeed. The government is there to serve the people of Zenia and to provide a stable environment for the country to move forward in the Based Commonwealth, the League of Hellenistic Micronations and other international fora.
The fake news and malicious rumors being spread by extremists only serve to undermine the efforts of those who are working tirelessly to bring peace and stability to the country. It is time for us all to put aside our differences and support the National Government in its mission to restore constitutional order and build a better future for the people of Zenia.
