It is with deep sorrow that the Imperial Government announced a three day period of national mourning in honor of the victims of the train accident that occurred near the town of Tempi in Greece on March 1st, 2023. In its statement, the Government extended "thoughts and prayers to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident".

The accident took place after a passenger train and a freight train collided, resulting in the loss of 57 lives and leaving 48 others hospitalized.

During this period of national mourning, the Government has asked that all flags be flown at half-mast and that all citizens observe a moment of silence in honor of the victims. Citizens have also been encouraged to reach out to their loved ones, neighbors, and communities to offer support and comfort during this difficult time.

We at The Imperial Tribune extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured.
