Mouzilo turns 2

It's May 19, 2014 and every citizen of Mouzilo has a smile on his face. The reason is common for all: it's Mouzilo's 2nd anniversary.

Exactly 2 years have passed since Mouzilo declared its independence and secession from the Hellenic Republic (Greece). 2 years of prosperity and growth, freedom and democracy, progress and advancement; 2 years in which a small unknown kingdom evolved to a democratic state, part of the biggest and most respected federation micronationally, Ashukovo.

What is today known as the Democratic Republic of Mouzilo, started off on May 19 2012, when Manolis Afentoulis and

Manolis Triantafyllou established the 'Kingdom of Mouzilo', which initially was planned to be a free-time activity of the two but evolved to having the goal of creating a role-model state, not only for micro- but also macronations.

Going through ups and downs, Mouzilo later annexed several territories, such as New Herakleia (a former micronation gifted to Mouzilo by the Principality of Imvrassia), leading to it's reformation as Empire, on December 2012.

The months to come brought political instability to Mouzilo which reached its zenith when the - now defunct - ASPRM, the Autonomous Socialist People's Republic of Mouzilo, declared secession. Given that, attempts to stabilize the nation were made by everyone in and outside the government, which were later proven to be successful. Part of those attempts was the creation of the United Empire of Mouzilo and Mahuset, the United Empire of Mouzilo and Hasanistan, and soon later, the formation of the United Districts of Kekropia, a federation consisting of Mouzilo, Hasanistan and Cleveland (which is nowadays part of Monovia). The dissolution of Kekropia on August 2013, brought thoughts in Mouzilo on whether the state should disestablish. Fortunately, this did not happen and on September 26th that year, Mouzilo declared it would become a Republic, based on the ideas and principles of the Athenian Democracy. 3 months after that, Mouzilo joined Ashukovo with which strong ties already existed.
'It's really positive to see that Mouzilo celebrates its second year today' stated President Afentoulis, and continued: 'Even though we have faced several problems throughout our History and have had some good as well as bad times, we successfully managed to overcome every obstacle that stood on our way, leading to Mouzilo's current situation, which is better than ever.

But the President was not the only to say some words on the instance of the anniversary.

'As a fellow Orthodox and Ashukov I would like to congratulate Mouzilo on the anniversary and wish them all the very best in the future.' was the first comment of Edward Jacobs, Akharnes' President and Ashukovo's Minister of Defense. 'Akharnes has always considered Mouzilo as one of its main allies and friends due to strong religious and cultural ties. The President of Mouzilo, Mr. Afentoulis is a friend of Akharnes and myself, personally. He played a huge role in our state, especially in designing and promoting our capital city - Džoltovolk. It only shows what he is capable of as a leader and without a doubt Mouzilo has achieved a lot under his leadership. After Mouzilo has joined Ashukovo, our states have become even closer. Mouzilo is currently one of the biggest Ashukov states in terms of both population and land. It is also home to one of the biggest Ashukov companies, Logoncept. It is with great optimism that I look forward to Mouzilo’s 3rd year of existence. I would like to wish our Orthodox brothers peace, progress and success in all their endeavors. May God Bless You.'

In addition, Robert Garside of the Republic of Akebar, said:

Mouzilo and Akebar have enjoyed strong ties since the foundation of the state in Akebar during July of 2013. Our two nations' ties were further strengthened with the creation of join nation projects, such as the SPP party of Ashukovo and Akebar, as well as several conlinguistic projects, furthermore Mouzilo's membership in the Ashukov federation, of which Akebar is an associated state brings our two states together, new states inhabiting historic lands, separated by a continent, united in bretherenship. Viva la Mouzilo!

Finally, the main comment of Hasan Çakar, the Supreme Leader of Hasanistan and one of the protagonists of a "scandal" about comments on Islam as well as a case of vandalism, was:

'Congratulations on Mouzilo's second anniversary, the Hasani people hopes Mouzilo stays strong! Long live Mouzilo-Hasanistan brotherhood'

What is for sure, is that Mouzilo will be around for years to come and signs show that Mouzilo will prosper and advance even more; this is just the beginning!

Happy holiday to all!
