Based Commonwealth leaders observe parade, hold first Synod.

ATHENS, Greece (RNA)

The leadership of the nations forming the Based Commonwealth, namely Rhomania, Pangration, and Graecia, have met yesterday in the capital of Greece, Athens, in the first such meeting since the Commonwealth's establishment in January last year.

Basileus and Autokrator of the Romans and King of Mouzilo Emmanuel I & II joined the Governor of Græcia Quintus de Vitaliis and the King of Pangration Alexios III in observing the military parade celebrating the 201st anniversary of Greek independence, at the end of which Basileus Emmanuel was interviewed by Reuters reporters. With the end of the parade, the three men commenced the historical first Synod of the Based Commonwealth at a local Café, reserved for its comfort but also its discreet location, a necessary prerequisite for such a meeting.

The discussion was naturally dominated by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The leaders agreed that an effort needs to be made so as to avoid misinformation from both sides of the conflict contaminating the nations' domestic affairs. The leaders also expressed their concerns about the indigenous Greek populations of southern Ukraine that have also been victims of this war and considered the possible courses of action regarding the humanitarian tragedy in the country.

Also on the table of conversations was the joint effort regarding sanctions against various organizations, products, people and events deemed dangerous for the cultural cohesiveness and existence of the three nations. Rhomania and Graecia have already and independently from each other begun their own sanctions strategy months ago, so naturally, a negotiation was made to harmonize the two individual strategies.

The Roman News Agency reports that a slight amount of tensions arose during the conversations when the King Alexios of Pangration mentioned the ongoing Roman investigation into the supposed "death" of former King Alexian, and asked for explanations, with Basileus Emmanuel assuring that the investigation was put forward for internal reasons. Governor de Vitaliis mediated for the tensions to cool down and the meeting ended, as intended, on a friendly climate and with the promise to have it repeated soon.
